President Olusegun Obasonjo congratulates Sir Victor Uwaifo on his Birthday and sends him a congratualtory message dated 25th February 2002 stating

..." In over three decades, few profoundly gifted artistes have taken Nigerian music to the global podium. Victor Uwaifo is one of the very distinguished. We have followed with keen interest over the years his impressive career as a musician of international repute, business man of note and most recently an administrator."

In 1984 the then Head of State and Commander – in - Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces, Major General Mohammed Buhari invited Victor Uwaifo to perform at a the Childrens Party at the State house.
